The breakfast was excellent. A full Scottish cooked breakfast was available and prepared to perfection. There were also plenty healthier options available. I got upgraded to a family room at the front of the hotel. The room was clean and its decor felt modern.
The water pressure in the shower was weak.

a mixed experience, some issues noted

worn mattresskitchen ventilation
The mattress felt quite worn. it seemed to sink in after a short time. i also noticed a constant noise early each morning, possibly from the kitchen ventilation. it stopped in the evening when the restaurant closed. some staff members weren't very cute. I found them not very attentive for a hotel of this level.
